The Sciex X500B is a high resolution mass spectrometer designed for the analysis and characterization of biomolecules, using IDA, Swath® and MRMHR data acquisition modes, but it can also be used for detection and quantification of small molecules. The Quadrupole Time-of-Flight technology combined with the automated calibrant delivery system, provides accurate masses in MS and MS/MS data. The instrument is equipped with a TurboVTM ion source for electrospray (ESI) or atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI).
Attached to the X500B is an ExionLCTM HPLC/UHPLC System, consisting of a dual-pump gradient system, isocratic pump, cooled autosampler, column oven and dual wavelength UV detector.
